Working professionally since 1969, this Muscle Shoals, Alabama native brings with him a long list of talents. The 70's were filled with a variety of musical experiences that would forever influence his style. Highlights of Rieser's studio work include work for Belmont Studios (Nashville), East Avalon Recorders (Muscle Shoals), Music Mill Recording Studios/Publishing, where he had the opportunity to work with Lenny LeBlanc (Dove Award contemporary Christian artist) and Ed Struzick (co-writer of “Falling”-Leblanc & Carr, “Sharing the Night Together”-Dr. Hook, “Heartache and a Half”-Deborah Allen). He has performed master and demo sessions at Muscle Shoals Sound; Rick Hall’s FAME Recording Studios, and the former Motown Muscle Shoals Division- Wishbone Recording Studios, as well as Warner Brothers Nashville.
When focusing his energies on vocals he has performed commercial jingle
work for Budweiser, Wrigley's, Fox Television’s “Cool Like
Us” campaign, Ice Capades, Zip Trip, Regis and Kathy Lee, Ford,
Chevrolet, Toyota, PBS, Spokane’s Momentum ‘88 promotion
as the voice for the “Come and visit your neighbor” campaign
and the 1998 national CBS theme “The
Address is CBS, Welcome Home ” with Neal
McCoy. Most recently, you can find his voice or drumming talent on the theme songs for the 1997 Country Music Awards Show (CMA’s) on CBS, The Academy Awards Show (“The Oscars”) Year 2000, the Coeur d’Alene Casino and the Dallas Cowboys Promotional song & Video. From 1993-1998, Chris lead the house band “Loose Endz” at Cavanaugh’s River Inn, in addition to providing the live acoustic entertainment on their patio for 6 years running. From 1999-2001 his acoustic entertainment was featured at The Hotel Lusso and The Bayou Brewing Company (in the Voodoo Lounge) during which time, Chris was able to hold down the house band position at “Pepperdine Sports Bar”. From there, he moved his band “Little Voice” to the Westcoast River Inn (formerly Cavanaugh’s River Inn) as the house band for the next 12 months. In the past, he performed with his acoustic act at “Shenanigan’s Seafood and Chop Restaurant” for 2½ years and during 2003 was a mainstay in the “Headwaters Lounge” at the Northern Quest Casino. For the past 6 years he has been providing music for both properties at “Prospectors Bar & Grill”, Airways Heights and Wandermere. The acoustic trio works 2 weekends of each month in the beautiful Davenport Hotel Lounge “Peacock Room”, while his electric acts “The Nerve” and “The Smoking Section” maintain the house band position at Spokane’s largest downtown night club “Trick Shot Dixie” and Spokane’s newest sports lounge “LEFTY’S” where he is also employed as both venues Entertainment Director/Production Manager.
