Jonny 5 takes the Top-40 cover band to the next level,
combining a powerful reportiore of Hits from the past and present. Boasting
a 100% live show with no synths or tracks, the band is spontaneous, high
energy and interactive, with a stunning reportoire of over 150 songs that
allow them to please the toughest of crowds! Featuring a 3 piece horn
section, the band effortlessly nails the Disco and Funk Hits of the 70s
by Artists including Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and Earth, Wind and
Fire. In addition to the standard 70s Disco and Dance fare, the band pays
homage to some of the classic rock of the 70's too, with the occasional
interlude into hits by Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith and Queen.
And
the 80's! We all love 'em, and a night hosted by J5 is never complete
without a potent blast of the Bangles, B-52s, Michael Jackson, George
Michael, Queen and others.
Not
only are the most notorious hits of the past covered with A-1 musicianship,
but the band brings the night full-circle with Radio Hits of today including
Weezer, En Vogue, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cake, No Doubt and more.
Featuring
bonified Hip Hop Dance Instructor Shawna Locey, dancing and singing
talents of J5 are combined into a blazing and provocative high energy
show. Shawna has been a finalist performer for both the NBA's Blazer
Dancers and the WNBA Portland Fire Dance Teams, and it shows…
The
members of J5 are professionally trained Jazz musicians, some of which
have toured with the like of jazz greats Al Hood, David Newton and Kristen
Korb. Members of J5 have performed in venues including Schnitzer Concert
Hall, the Portland Convention Center, Memorial Coliseum and the Rose
Garden. From Budapest, Hungary, to Nashville Tennessee…
