Peter Kirkland
Lead Vocals
With unmatched class, smooth moves, and a charismatic voice that moves
the most skeptical audience to its feet, Peter fronts the E.C.T. with
unwavering confidence. Travelling regionally and nationally with local,
regional and national Artists, Peter has developed a large and diverse
vocal repertoire, and sells each song with total conviction.
J.C - Drums, Vocals
J.C. began his music career at age 16 studying with jazz legends Jeff
Hamilton and Mel Lewis. In 1988 he received the American Legion Scholar
Award in Music, and studied at Central Washington University and at
Cornish College of the Arts. He toured regionally and nationally with
Jumbalassy, and played on-call with Hit Explosion. In the mid 90's he
played in orchestras backing comics Larry Clark, Red Buttons, and Willie
Tyler and Lester. He later performed in Las Vegas at the Excalibur,
The Venetian, and The Monte Carlo. Having spent years as musical director
for various acts, he returned to Seattle and formed E.C.T.
Mark Cardenas - Keys, Vocals
Mark Cardenas also originated from the Pacific Northwest, and has recorded
and toured with national acts, including Morris Day and The Time, Janet
Jackson, and the Songcatchers. Since returning to Seattle, he has played
with numerous local favorites including Phat Sidy Smokehouse, The Ribshack
Barbeque Orchestra, and was a fixture at the popular Seattle underground
venue, the 700 Club. Mark has also backed local blues sensation Korla
Wygal, and New York saxophonist Charles Certain.
Peter Sams - Bass, Vocals
Peter Sams hails from Seattle, plays six-string bass and brings upright
bass sensibility to his lines. Studying jazz performance at Central
Washington University, he developed his unique sound and became in high
demand in Eastern Washington groups. He and his wife, Lissa, founded
Jet City Blues, and developed a loyal following in Eastern Washington
and, later, in Kansas. Peter is also known for his skills as both a
live and studio engineer, and owns a live sound system rental company.
Randy Norris - Guitar, Lead Vocals
Randy, a native of Wichita, Kansas, has spent much of his life on the
road. Randy has been burning up the stage for more than 25 years with
his charismatic voice and intense, journeyman approach to his instrument.
He spent 10 years in LA doing sessions and sideman work. He performed
with Jack Mack and the Heart Attack, The Boxtops, and opened for many
notable acts including the Neville Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rare
Earth, Average White Band, Etta James, and Johnny Winter. Never the
type to be stuck in a musical rut, he would play whatever style was
required for the job, regardless of genre. His voice can be heard on
many film and television scores.
